Matthew G. Stacy, 38 of Toledo, Ohio and formerly of Lambertville, MI,  passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2017, fighting for the Rebel Alliance.   The Jedi Master was born on October 23, 1978.  During his youth, Matt bravely underwent an experimental organ transplant that would later serve as a blueprint for future organ transplant success.  Matt recovered to lead an active childhood that included excellence in baseball, bowling and foreign language. After graduating from Bedford High School in 1996, he matriculated to the University of Toledo and graduated with a BBA in International Business.  His time as a student lead to the opportunity to live in Europe after his studies.  Matt would later return numerous times visiting much of the continent.  Besides travel, he also relished music, seeing a myriad of concerts, none as frequent as his favorite band, Aerosmith.  In addition, Matt was a passionate  Michigan Wolverine fan and caretaker of his felines and canines.

He is survived by his loving mother, Susan (Steve) Heer and father (Jerry (Ellen) Stacy.  Matt is fondly remembered by the rest of his loving family, brother, Joshua (Sara) Stacy; step-sisters, Melissa (Bill) Metzger; Stephanie (James) Stewart; Uncle, Michael Lenga and cousin, Sara Lenga; Aunt & Uncle, Russ and Sharon Stacy.

Visitation will be from 4-7 pm, Friday, February 10, 2017, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where a time of sharing will follow at 7:00 pm.  In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions be made to the Cherry Street Mission or the Lions of Michigan Service Foundation. www.pawlakfuneralhome.com
